IT’S down to the last eight with Uruguay facing France in the first of the World Cup quarter-finals.

France are one of the favourites to win the tournament and their demolition of Uruguay’s South American neighbours Argentina in their Round of 16 clash merely reinforced their claims.

However the likes of lightning-fast youngster Kylian Mbappe and lethal attacker Antoine Griezmann are unlikely to enjoy the same charity shown by Argentina, with Uruguay boasting a resolute defence that has only conceded one goal all tournament.

Up front Uruguay are likely to be missing key striker Edinson Cavani with a calf injury but that may only inspire world class marksman Luis Suarez to propel his side into the semi-finals.
