High jumper Mike Mason and pole vaulter Shawn Barber are the lone Canadians competing.
Mason, 30, will be out of the shadow of teammate and friend Derek Drouin, the 2016 Rio Olympic champion, and is looking to build on a fifth-place finish (2.25 metres) at a Diamond League meet in Oslo, Norway, two weeks ago.
Barber, 23, is the Canadian male record holder (5.93m) and reigning world champion in pole vault. He hasn’t competed on the Diamond League circuit since May 27 when he cleared 5.71 at the Prefontaine Classic in Portland, Ore.
