Transfer news: Liverpool boss demanding Max Meyer deal as Arsenal plot ‘generous’ offer

The Schalke midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and doesn’t look set to extend his stay in the Bundesliga.

Meyer claims to have been bullied by Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel, saying: “I simply did not want to stay with Schalke and work under Heidel.

“It’s all about this. Lately, it just feels like bullying to me.”

That has led to the 22-year-old being suspended from first-team duties, fuelling rumours he is set to leave the club.

And according to the Gambling Times, Meyer will not be short of offers with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham all chasing him.
