RB Leipzig may be willing to listen to an improved offer for Liverpool target Naby Keita.

The Reds had a £57million bid rejected for the Guinea international yesterday.

But AIPS journalist Chris Williams reckons Keita’s move to the club is a ‘formality’ with the player himself desperate to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Williams said on Twitter: “Keita is desperate to move Liverpool but RB Leipzig will not move on their “not for sale” stance.

“RB Leipzig may deal at an improved figure. Balance in favour of a LFC move has tipped.”

He added: “It could be a “formality” now that Keita moves to Liverpool during this window according to some within the German club.”

00:05: Arsenal have sent Barcelona a ‘hands off’ letter about Hector Bellerin.

The Spain international has been heavily linked with a return to the Nou Camp as Ernesto Valverde bids to find a long-term replacement for Dani Alves.

But The Telegraph claim the Gunners are determined to keep him and have sent a letter to the Catalan giants to warn them off him.

Barce have now cooled their interest in him and are close to completing a deal for Nelson Semedo from Benfica.

The Portugal international will undergo a medical later on today and will sign a five-year contract.

23:50: Sampdoria have made contact with Arsenal about a shock move for Jack Wilshere.

The England international’s future at the Emirates looks bleak with just 12 months remaining on his contract.

And Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says the Serie A side have made an approach and are interested in offering him a chance to resurrect his career.

The report adds Arsenal want £8.9million for his services.

22:40: Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has joined Watford on a permanent deal.

The England U21 international has signed a five-year deal with the Hornets, who are set to pay an initial £5m fee for the player that could rise to £7m.

22:30: Jose Mourinho has ordered Manchester United to complete a deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.

The Daily Star claim Mourinho has demanded the club’s hierarchy to complete a deal so he can be included in his pre-season plans.

Mourinho’s request comes after photos of Perisic in training with Inter showed him looking cheesed off.

Perisic is desperate to end his time with the Serie A club and the Daily Star claim he has resorted to sulking in training in a bid to force through a move.

21:40: Good news for Arsenal fans! Barcelona have reportedly turned their attention away from Hector Bellerin and are now pursuing Benfica’s Nelson Semedo.

According to the BBC, the Catalan giants have agreed a deal for the right-back for a reported £30.8million.

Arsenal are adamant Bellerin won’t be sold and the arrival of Semedo at the Nou Camp would likely end their chase of Bellerin.

21:00: Ronald Koeman is expecting one or two more signings at Everton this summer, despite having spent almost £100million on new recruits already.

“We are close to having the right squad,” Koeman added. “We did really good business, brought really good players who will make the team stronger and give the team competition.

“We are expecting maybe one or two players more to come in. It’s really important to already have the players in (when the season starts) because they need the adaptation, to learn how we like to play.

“And of course we know that we need to be ready in two weeks for the start of the Europa League qualifying.

“It’s good that most of the new signings are playing now for Everton, and it’s credit to the board of Everton that they did really good business, which is what the team needs.”

20:20: West Ham are edging closer to completing the siging of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Sky Sports claim the Hammers hope to wrap up a deal in the coming days.

Hart is expected to join on a season-long loan with the option of making the move permanent next summer.

19:26: Jurgen Klopp has given nothing away on Liverpool’s hopes of signing Virgil van Dijk this summer.

Liverpool were forced to publicly withdraw their interest in the Southampton defender after being accused of tapping up the Dutchman by the south-coast club.

But reports suggest Liverpool could still sign Van Dijk, with bookmakers Betfair pricing them as 4/7 favourites to sign the 26-year-old centre-half.

Asked whether they could revive their interest in him, Klopp said: “Am I allowed to talk about this? I am not.

“Pretty much everything I could say would be a mistake – and not because it is an open case or something.

“You or your colleagues wrote everything about this a few weeks ago. I was in Iceland when someone told me it was all in the newspapers.

“Nothing happened since then. All good so far, so I can’t say anything about this.”

18.35: Kylian Mbappe is now wanted by Manchester City as well as Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, according to European football expert Graham Hunter.

Hunter does not know where Mbappe will end up but says it’s “hard to see him” staying at Monaco with those four clubs circling.

“The competition is wider than Arsenal, PSG and Real Madrid, Manchester City are speaking actively to Mbappe’s representatives and saying ‘come here, this is where to develop better than anywhere else. We will give you game time, we will teach you, we will pay you handsomely’,” he said on Sky Sports.

“City are in that battle and at the moment it’s hard to seeing him choosing Monaco over one of those.”

18:30: Chelsea have reportedly offered Nathaniel Chalobah a bumper new contract.

Chalobah has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer in search of first-team football, with Swansea and Watford both said to be interested.

The 22-year-old midfielder was limited to just 10 Premier League appearances last season – starting just one of those – as Chelsea clinched the title.

But The Mirror claim Chelsea have offered the England Under-21 international a five-year contract to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The new deal would take his wages from £45,000 to £65,000 a week, which would see him earn £17million over the five years.

18:20: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the offer of a new deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Daily Record claim the Swede is expected to return in the New Year and Mourinho wants him added to his ranks.

The report claims Mourinho is also looking for three more signings this summer and the Portuguese has asked for a new full back, holding midfielder and a player capable of playing across the second line of his attack as a winger or number 10.

17:05: Any remaining hopes Antonio Conte has of landing Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci appear to be over.

The experienced defender has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the past but CalcioMercato now claim he is set to complete a switch to AC Milan within the next 48 hours.

16:21: Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea wants to join Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of De Gea, having nearly signed him in 2015 only for the £29million deal to collapse late on due to paperwork problems.

But Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon claim Real Madrid will try again this summer, with club president Florentino Perez desperate to land the Spain No 1.

De Gea is reportedly refusing to miss out on a move to the Bernabeu and is said to have told his agent Jorge Mendes to get the deal done.

Don Balon add that Perez will look to offload first-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas to Paris Saint-Germain should Real sign De Gea.

16:05: Manchester City have agreed a fee in excess of £50m with Tottenham for Kyle Walker, according to Sky Sports.

The England international’s transfer will make him the world’s most expensive defender.

Walker will undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a deal to become Guardiola’s third signing of the summer.

14.55: Nemanja Matic s reportedly looking to force through a move from Chelsea to Manchester United by this weekend.

The Daily Mail claim Matic is determined to get out and secure first-team football for himself at United, reuniting with former boss Jose Mourinho.

The Serbia international’s representatives are said to be holding talks with the Blues this week, with a resolution expected by the weekend.

United are expected to offer the 28-year-old a long-term contract to ensure he moves to Old Trafford with Inter Milan also showing interest.

13.40: Manchester United target Ivan Perisic has been given the green light to leave Inter Milan by club captain Mauro Icardi.

“It’s not something we talk about in the dressing room,” Icardi told Italian broadcaster Premium Sport.

“If he’s not happy then he has to leave, as the coach [Luciano Spalletti] says.

“He needs to do what makes him happy.”

12.45: Former Premier League stars Wes Brown, Shay Given and Alex Bruce are training with Vanarama National League side Macclesfield.

All three live locally and have joined the Silkmen, who finished ninth in the table and were FA Trophy finalists at Wembley, for pre-season to maintain their fitness levels and undertake some coaching.

This summer ex-Manchester United and Sunderland defender Brown was released by Blackburn, former Republic of Ireland, Newcastle, Manchester City and Aston Villa goalkeeper Given’s contract expired with Stoke and Bruce – son of Villa manager Steve – was let go by Hull.

“It says a lot about the football club that they came in to training one day, and then came in the next and the next,” manager John Askey said at the club’s kit launch.

12.40: Arsenal have offered more than £123.3million for Monaco hitman Kylian Mbappe, it has sensationally been claimed today.

Boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed he’s a big fan on the 18-year-old striker and Spanish newspaper Marca are this morning reporting a monster bid was made.

Marca say a bid of “more than 140 million euros” was lodged, which equates to £123.3m.

If true, it hints that Arsenal were willing to smash the world transfer record to get their man.

It’s also around three times more than the Gunners’ club record too, which they broke last week after signing Alexandre Lacazette for £46.5m.

Aside from Arsenal, Marca report there is still interest in Mbappe from Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain.

12.30: Chelsea have won the race to sign Real Madrid star Danilo.

The full back is expected to make the £28m move to west London.

Antonio Conte is ramping up his recruitment drive after finally agreeing a fee with Monaco for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Last week Chelsea completed the signing of Antonio Rudiger from Roma.

Bakayoko should be next in and is scheduled for a medical tomorrow.

And Danilo could be next after submitting a £28m bid to Real Madrid.

The Daily Mirror report that Conte wants the deal done by next week so he can join the players on their tour of Asia.

11.40: Jurgen Klopp has already been impressed with Dominic Solanke.

Solanke made his first Liverpool appearance in the friendly with Tranmere last night.

And Klopp thinks he will develop into a top player after joining from Chelsea.

“I saw a few wonderful signs tonight,” he said. “Everybody in England watched the U20 World Cup – that was fantastic football. He is an offensive player, a really skilled boy. He has to improve, of course, but a lot of things are already really good: first touch, movement, a lot of things.

“So it’s about him, if you want, and the situation. But I will not avoid his development, so the moment he is strong enough he is there.

“Where he is training isn’t already decided because I didn’t decide for all of the team, but he will train with us as often as makes sense and is possible. And where he will play, we will see.”

11.10: Zlatan Ibrahimovic is preparing a to make a ‘huge announcement’ on his future.

The striker has been released by Manchester United following an ankle injury which ended his season in the Europa League semi-final.

But he is still in Manchester and has been doing his rehab at Carrington.

Recent reports have claimed he could win another contract at United following his recovery.

He was initially ruled out until January but could now play as early as October.

And his future should be cleared up shortly.

Asked by photographers about his future, Ibrahimovic said: “There will be a very big announcement soon, it will be huge.”

10.30: Stoke manager Mark Hughes has confirmed his interest in signing Kurt Zouma and is “very hopeful” about agreeing a loan deal for the Chelsea defender.

It has been reported that Zouma will sign a new contract with his parent club before immediately being sent out on loan, with Blues boss Antonio Conte eager for the 22-year-old to get more Premier League experience under his belt.

Hughes acknowledges that Stoke face competition to sign the centre-back, Press Association Sport understands that West Brom are also keen, but he is confident of bringing Zouma to the bet365 Stadium on a season-long deal.

“There is genuine interest. We’d like to make it happen if we can,” Hughes told the Sentinel following Wednesday night’s pre-season friendly against Young Boys in Switzerland.

“The boy himself has to make a decision. We are one of many interested parties but we’re very hopeful. We’re still doing a number of deals.”

09.48: Liverpool will not be influenced by their Premier League rivals’ moves in the transfer market and will stick to their own signing plans, according to Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp’s side have added winger Mohamed Salah and England under-20 striker Dominic Solanke so far, but their spending has been put in the shade by local rivals Everton, who have splashed out more than 100 million pounds.

Manchester United and City, as well as Arsenal, have also spent heavily, but Klopp has urged his team’s supporters not to get caught up in what the opposition are doing.

“We cannot buy players because other teams buy players,” said Klopp after his team’s 4-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.

“We do our business as good as we can do it and we are convinced about the way we are going.”

09:40: Chelsea have finally agreed a fee with Monaco for the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The France midfielder will now head to London to undergo a medical tomorrow and complete his move.

Chelsea have been trying to get the deal done for weeks and have finally reached an agreement with the club.

They will play £39.8m plus add-ons for the 22-year-old.

09.05: RB Leipzig have told Liverpool Naby Keita is not for sale – but Jurgen Klopp is still not ready to give up yet.

Leipzig have hardened their stance over the midfielder which is a major blow for the Reds, but they have not given up on landing him.

Liverpool made contact with Leipzig last week but were told yesterday that Keita will not be allowed leave.

It is understood that the German side are definitive on the matter, but Liverpool have yet to give up on acquiring boss Jurgen Klopp’s top midfield target.

08:45: Tiemoue Bakayoko’s brother seems to have confirmed the Monaco star’s move to Chelsea on Snapchat.

Abdoulaye Bakayoko posted an image of a black background along with the caption CFC, accompanied by the blue dot and strong arm emojis.

Chelsea and Monaco are believed to have reached an agreement for the France international in the region of £40million.

And fans have already been bombarding the Blues twitter account, demanding the 22-year-old’s signing be announced by the club.

08.30: Roma are set to make a discreet approach to Manchester United about the availability to Radja Nainggolan.

The midfielder looks set to depart this summer but Roma do not want to sell domestically and will hope to attract interest from abroad.

United could move for the Belgium star as an alternative to Eric Dier, who is being valued at £60m by Tottenham.

But Chelsea are also interested and could pursue a move despite closing in on Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Conte tried to sign Nainggolan last summer and remains keen on the 29-year-old.

08:05: Brighton have completed the signing of Austrian left-back Markus Suttner on a three-year deal from German club FC Ingolstadt 04.

Suttner joined Albion’s pre-season training camp in the Austrian Alps, having completed his medical with club staff at the team hotel and signed transfer forms last night.

The 30-year-old defender trained with his new teammates for the first time earlier this morning, and manager Chris Hughton is delighted with his third summer addition.

He said, “Markus is someone we have been aware of for some time, and I am pleased we have managed to complete the transfer at this stage, and he is now able to join us for the second half of the week.

“He has a great level of experience internationally, and in the top divisions in both his native Austria and Germany, where he has played the last two seasons with Ingolstadt, and that experience will serve us well.

“He will add competition at the back on the left side of defence, and I’m now looking forward to working with him.”

07:10: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may not fit Antonio Conte’s style of play, according to Gabriele Marcotti.

The Gabon striker was offered to Chelsea yesterday as they look to secure a replacement for Diego Costa.

The Dortmund man is set to move on this summer but is yet to find a club.

But Marcotti isn’t sure if he’d suit Chelsea.

“I don’t know if it is that his stock has dropped,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.

“I think it’s just because they have slapped an enormous price tag on him.

“I think he could come back into the reckoning.

“I don’t know if he’s a great fit for Chelsea and what Conte wants out of his centre forward.

“I think that would be the main caveat there.”

05:50: Jurgen Klopp has offered Liverpool star Mamadou Sakho an Anfield lifeline.

The defender was exiled 12 months ago and consequently loaned to Crystal Palace.

But Klopp refused to say he would be sold.

“First of all he needs to get 100% fit and then we will see,” he said.

05:30: Nemanja Matic wants to join Manchester United.

The Chelsea midfielder looks destined to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with Antonio Conte expected to complete the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.

And The Telegraph claim Matic has been training on his own and his team-mates are convinced he is on the brink of leaving the club.

It is said the Serbia international wants a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Chelsea want around £40million for him.

05:00: Chelsea have agreed a £39.9million fee to sign Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Monaco midfielder is one of Antonio Conte’s top transfer targets this summer.

And French outlet RMC Sport claim he has finally got his man after reaching a £39.9m agreement with Monaco.

It is said he will fly to London in the coming hours and undergo a medical on Friday.

The report adds he will sign a five-year contract.

04:30: Arsenal are set to re-sign Wellington Silva.

The Gunners brought the Brazilian attacker to the Emirates in 2010 from Fluminense.

But he failed to make his mark at the club, being loaned out for the next five years due to work permit issues.

He was finally clear to play for Arsenal in the 2-15/26 season, but was shipped out on loan to Bolton in August.

Silva then secured a permanent return to Fluminense last year.

But Football.London claim the Gunners will re-sign the forward by activating a £3.6million buy-back clause.

He will then be sold to Bordeaux with Arsenal set to profit from the transfer.

04:00: Manchester United are planning to table a fresh bid to sign Monaco star Fabinho.

Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in a defensive midfielder this summer as he looks to find a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick.

United have apparently already had a bid rejected for the Brazil international, with their offer being £8.53million short of Monaco’s asking price.

But Sport Review claim the Red Devils are ready to lodge an improved bis to sign the former Real Madrid loanee.

The report adds personal terms have already been agreed ahead of his proposed switch to Old Trafford.

03:30: Danny Murphy reckons Liverpool are “close” to signing Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.

“Personally, the problem for Liverpool was more defensive (last season),” he told sport.360.com.

“I think the van Dijk thing is close. That would be a phenomenal signing.

“But there’s definitely more business to be done at Anfield.”
