16.00 UPDATE: Higuain deal must work
Chelsea could sack Maurizio Sarri if Gonzalo Higuain isn’t a success at the club, according to Tony Cascarino.
“I don’t think the Chelsea system suits everybody at Chelsea and that is the reason I think players are not buying into the way he wants to play,” he told talkSPORT.
“Because he is very determined that he is only going to play this way.
“But unless he has got time – and Chelsea are not a club that will be patient – I think Higuain is going to be his last throw of the dice.
“He has to come in and work.”

14:45 UPDATE: Ozil message
Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil isn’t featuring under Unai Emery because he won’t follow instructions, Jermaine Jenas claims.
“He’s not using Mesut Ozil now,” Jenas told 5Live. “Mesut Ozil is one of the most criticised players in the Premier League, and probably by their own fans, on the basis that he’s not doing it.
“If he’s not playing, he’s not playing for a reason. The manager is seeing him day in day out.
“He’ll be asking a Mesut Ozil to do certain things that Mesut Ozil is not prepared to do.
“Now, do Arsenal football club want a manager that is prepared to stamp his authority and say ‘I don’t care what your name is, this is the way we’re all going to play, and you’re all on the same level and for this club to move forward [we will do it that way].’
“How many years have we watched Arsenal sugarcoat Mesut Ozil?”

14:15 UPDATE: Gattuso slams Higuain
AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has slammed Gonzalo Higuain ahead of his move to Chelsea.

“We spoke after the training session and I did not consider him ready for this game.
“I accept his decision. Surely he could have done more and maybe we could have helped him fit in better.
“Right now we have to work with professionalism and determination, all these rumours have not helped us lately and we have to look ahead.”

13:45 UPDATE: Callum Hudson-Odoi claim
Chelsea deserve to lose Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Odoi, talkSPORT pundit Luke Moore claims.
He told the On The Continent podcast: “Even if Chelsea fans are honest with themselves there’s nothing any club fan likes more than seeing a young player come through.
“You see the amount of patience a young player gets from the crowd. You see how much they feel a part of it.
“The thing is, Chelsea, the club and everyone there, deserves everything they get if they carry on with this policy. They want to win games at all costs, they want to win trophies, fair enough.
“But you deserve to be punished, you deserve to lose some of your brightest prospects if you don’t give them any pathway at all to the first team and I don’t care how many League Cup games Callum Hudson-Odoi plays, he’s not going to play for Chelsea, and he should move and he should move immediately. They deserve to be punished for the way they operate.”
13:10 UPDATE: Ramsey exit claim
Aaron Ramsey being allowed to leave Arsenal on a free transfer is sickening, Martin Keown claims.
“It’s the saddest thing of all really, how well he executed the plan today but in possession and out of possession,” he told BT Sport.
“He’s obviously doing that to such an extent that [Mesut] Ozil can’t get near the team.
“But Ramsey’s not going to be part of their future and I find that sad.
“I find it a little bit sickening that he’s going to be leaving, they’re trying to make progress and one player who was singly so important won’t be a part of Arsenal’s future.”

Palmeri confirmed the deal as he simply tweeted: “Morata has signed for Atletico.”
Gonzalo Higuain is expected to replace Morata at Stamford Bridge.

11:10 UPDATE: Higuain warning
Chelsea have been sent a warning over signing Gonzalo Higuain, with Harry Redknapp revealing there must be a reason behind Juventus loaning him out.
“You’d think it’d be good news but why have Juventus let him go out on loan?” he asked on Saturday Morning Savage.
“Is there a reasoning behind it? I don’t know. If he’s that good still and he has that much to offer, why would a club like Juventus, who are looking to win the Champions League and who will win Serie A like they normally do, why would you let him go out on loan to Milan?
“The manager of Juventus is a very clever guy. There must be a reason you let him go. You must think ‘well, he must have gone a bit’.”

He was left out of The Hammers squad to face Bournemouth this weekend and a decision about his future is in the hands of Manuel Pellegrini.

Chelsea have asked Barcelona to keep them in touch with any plans they have to offload former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho’s dream move to the Camp Nou has turned into a nightmare and he is struggling to hold down a place in Ernesto Valverde’s starting line up.
He has dropped below Ousmane Dembele in the pecking order and it has led Manchester United to make an enquiry about his services.
Chelsea have been quoted around £100 million for Coutinho but haven’t baulked at the fee and are ready to rival United with their attempts to return him to the Premier League.
