Three stars to face MRO scrutiny

MATCH review officer Michael Christian will be busy after three incidents in Carlton’s upset win over Gold Coast on Saturday night.

Suns captain Steven May has been reported for a bump on Ed Curnow while Patrick Cripps and Charlie Curnow will also be looked at.

May clipped Curnow early in the fourth quarter, knocking the Carlton stopper to the ground.

Players engaged in some push and shove after the hit but it was quickly broken up.

Earlier in the match, Carlton star Cripps left David Swallow concussed after a tackle.

While there was no malice in the tackle, it could be graded similar to Nic Naitanui’s one match ban from earlier in the season.

Swallow had to be almost dragged from the ground by Gold Coast medical staff and took no further part in the match.

Charlie Curnow will be looked at after collecting May with a late hit during the second term.
