Bartley is currently on a season-long loan at Leeds from Premier League side Swansea and has made 37 appearances this season.
The 25-year-old has been crucial in guiding Garry Monk’s side to fifth in the Championship table but is under contract at Swansea until 2018.
The centre-back says he would be open to staying at Elland Road permanently but admits the decision is in the hands of his parent club Swansea.
When asked if he has a long-term future at Leeds, he said: “It’s difficult to say at this point.
“I’m obviously contracted to Swansea and I have a lot of respect for the club and the chairman so I’m not in a position to say at the moment.
“But come the end of the season, in the summer, then hopefully we should know more and we’ll see what happens.”
The former Arsenal youngster added: “I have had a fantastic season.
“Leeds has been great for me, the fans have really got behind me and I love all the players and the staff – they have been fantastic.
“So if that opportunity does come and Swansea are willing to let me leave then that would definitely be something I would be interested in.”
