Paper round-up: Ronaldo pips Messi again, Dyche, Tuchel and Giggs all linked with Everton

The race to be next Everton manager is hotting up with a host of names in the frame after the Toffees sacked Ronald Koeman yesterday.

The Dutchman spent big in the summer but failed to deliver on the pitch with currently bottom of their Europa League group and 18th domestically.

Express Sport can reveal Burnley boss Sean Dyche is leading the charge for the Goodison Park hot-seat, although manager-less Leicester are also seeking his services.

However, The Mirror suggest former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is top of Everton’s wish-list while the Daily Star claim Ryan Giggs fancies his chances taking over from Koeman.

U23s boss David Unsworth and ex-Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti are also in the frame, while Express Sport understands West Ham are targeting Hoffenheim chief Julian Nagelsmann to take over from Slaven Bilic.

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned FIFA’s best player for the second year running, beating rival Lionel Messi and Brazilian superstar Neymar at a glitzy London award ceremony.
