Panda-monium as boxing champ meets bear

FLOYD Mayweather continued boxing’s love affair with exotic animals as he visited his newly-adopted giant panda.

The undefeated former champ fed the bear — named TMT Floyd Mayweather — an apple and took several selfies.

His panda was previously called Maodou [soy bean] and was born in the summer of 2016.

Mayweather, 40, paid half of the £11,100 adoption fee which will go to the research centre looking after the cuddly bamboo-muncher.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding shared pictures of the all-time great, who’s donation gave him naming rights for a year.

After beating Conor McGregor in boxing’s all-time richest fight before retiring for a second time, Money has been enjoying some down time.

He has been on a tour of China which will take him to Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macau.

Mayweather revealed on Instagram: “Coming here with 23 people has been a great experience and it doesn’t hurt to get paid $ 3,000,000 to simply visit and vacation here in luxury for a few days.”

The ex-boxer has become a promoter and looks after several prospects, using his fame to get them into the spotlight.

Former world champion Gervonta Davis is perhaps his biggest star but the youngster has struggled with issues out of the ring.
