SIXTEEN barrier trials were staged on the Beaumont last Wednesday with in-form local trainer Kris Lees winning half the program.
The Lees stable opened the innings with new acquisition, the Champion Thoroughbreds owned SHEILARIZED winning the sole 1000m trial.
The mare has Randwick and Wyong wins to her credit and will be competitive against her own sex at midweek level.

The action then rolled forward to the 800m for the remainder of the session and classy girl DANISH TWIST was never off the bridle when scoring from stablemate Reach For Heaven.
This time last year she won the Group 3 Dark Jewel at Scone and her best run last campaign was a head x head defeat in the Group 1 Coolmore.
Brisbane awaits!!

One start for one win in a common Port Macquarie Maiden are the credentials of LOOK AND LISTEN but judging by her appearance the half sister to Deep Field will go higher in the rankings this preparation.
She travelled sweetly and found extra when Bullock gave her rein.
NAVUA MIST, a former Chris Waller trained mare, has joined Team Lees and her winning performance augurs well for the provincial circuit if not stronger company.
After all she does have creditable efforts behind the likes of In Her Time, Bonny O’Reilly and Kinshachi at Canterbury.
Lees then produced a heap of two year olds and those to greet the judge first were — GOLDEN DEAL (C by California Dane), DENEEKY (F Denman), DANUBIAN (F Foxwedge) and ONE INVINCIBLE CAT (F I Am Invincible).

On the subject of Yarraman Park gun stallion IAI he produced two other winning youngsters at the trials.
Port Macquarie’s Jenny Graham (trainer) and Peter Graham (jockey) made the long journey with VICTOREN and he didn’t disappoint. Miss start, three wide, under a tight hold etc. Man Of The Match.
And I AM LIGHTNING from the Gosford yard of Kylie Gavenlock looked the part when he changed gears at the 200m for a comfortable victory.
Paul Perry has two above average three-year-olds who displayed their wares in winning style.
YEOMAN, a hulk of a colt by Fastnet Rock, won his 800m Open trial while BUCASIA looks a “wait in the queque” bet. Her turn of hoof was electric and my stopwatch verified.
The daughter of Mossman has just joined the Perry stable after finishing second in a Sunshine Coast Maiden in early April and carries the well known green white diamond and sleeves of the Moran family.
I’ve always had time for the David Atkins trained PLAISIR a lightly raced good looking chestnut son of Choisir.
He landed the final heat of the session and it’s time he repaid me by winning soon.
