Nemanja Matic desperate for Man Utd move: Chelsea told to sort future within 48 hours

The Blues ace is set to leave Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Chelsea have been waiting to land Antonio Conte’s top midfield target before letting Matic move on.

And a reunion with Jose Mourinho has been in the pipeline.

Chelsea want £40million for the experienced Serbia international, but Juventus are also in the running.

Express Sport understands the Serie A side are poised to make a £40m move.

However, according to The Sun, Matic has his heart set on a switch to United.

The 28-year-old is determined to link back up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

The Blues would rather sell Matic to Juventus rather than a direct rival in United.

Arsenal are also said to have shown interest, but United have been stronger in their pursuit.

The Sun add Matic has given Chelsea a window of 48 hours to sort out his situation.

He has already been granted permission to sit out the Blues’ pre-season tour to the Far East, alongside Diego Costa.

And a deal with Manchester United appeals even more due to their contract proposal.

The Red Devils are apparently ready to give Matic £150,000 a week for four years, while Juventus are only offering £125,000 a week across three years.

Magic sees the contract length as crucial to planning his future.
