Two points dropped by Manchester City at Arsenal on Sunday still meant one more than the leaders got against Crystal Palace and it is the games against the lesser sides which – unlike in Serie A – can go such a long way to determining the outcome of the title race.
“That is why we love England,” said Clichy.
“In England you play against teams with a lot of quality. Some mid-table teams, some teams in the bottom half of the table have international players and the level is so high.
“Of course everybody can lose games and the aim for us is to win game after game and get the points on board.
“England is probably the place where in the past years it isn’t finished until it is finished.
“We have a fair few games left and a fair chance of doing something good this year.”
