Lemar move backed
16:40: Manchester United’s move to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar has been backed by the bookies.
The France international has been linked with Arsenal all summer, but United have been moved to 6/1 to sign him.
“Thomas Lemar has been linked with a move to Man Utd,” a BetStars spokesman said. “And it looks as though they could swipe the French forward from under the nose of Arsenal.
“Lemar is now available at 6/1 to sign for Jose Mourinho’s side and bolster their attacking threat.”
Alli agent boost
16:10: Dele Alli is reportedly in the process of changing agents which could cast doubt over his long-term future at Tottenham.
Alli currently earns around £60,000 a week and there is a wage ceiling at Spurs.
And now according to the Daily Mail, Alli’s split from his current agent Rob Segal could put Europe’s top clubs on alert.
The Mail add Alli is aware he can earn around £200,000 a week elsewhere and Manchester United and Chelsea will look to sign him.
Garay scouted
15:40: Manchester United sent three of their top scouts to watch Valencia centre-half Ezequiel Garay.
Valencia-based outlet Super Deporte claim United’s chief Spanish scout Carlos Ruiz, Javier Ribalta and another representative looked at Garay as he played on Friday night against Las Palmas.
The Red Devils have already signed one defender in Victor Lindelof this summer.
