Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho said THIS to players in dressing room after fight at Chelsea

United were stunned by a late Chelsea equaliser in their 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Anthony Martial netted twice in west London but Ross Barkley’s goal shared the points.

However, Mourinho’s touchline bust-up with Chelsea assistant Marco Ianni stole the headlines.

Ianni celebrated right in front of Mourinho after Barkley’s goal, with the United boss chasing the Chelsea coach down the tunnel.

And according to The Sun, Mourinho was full of praise for his United players, despite conceding a late equaliser against his old club.

Mourinho also singled out Martial and Victor Lindelof for praise in the dressing room.

An Old Trafford source told the newspaper: “Jose was very calm after the bust-up and told them this was the team which got us second last season, playing like that.

“He was very animated towards Martial and Lindelof, praising them for all their good work throughout the game.

“He said there was no reason they still couldn’t repeat last season’s finish playing like that and was delighted.”

Lindelof impressed again during Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat against Juventus on Tuesday night.

Speaking after their Champions League loss, Mourinho hailed the Sweden international.

He said: “I saw the amazing [Giorgio] Chiellini and amazing [Leonardo] Bonucci but I have to say Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof had a very positive game.

“It is the first time Victor plays a game of this dimension and Victor had a positive game; Luke Shaw also in the Champions League at this level of match.

“So good experience for some of the boys – Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku – I think it is the second season he plays Champions League too.

“So we work, we try to improve our players but quality is quality. Juventus were at a different level of quality, stability, experience and knowhow.

“And, again, I repeat: quality in football is everywhere. When I say quality I don’t say just a creative player or just a beautiful player.

“Chiellini and Bonucci were beautiful, absolutely beautiful. But my boys, I’m so happy with what they did.”
