Sydney Kings legends Shane Heal and Steve Carfino have endorsed Andrew Bogut’s MVP credentials following his dominant season.
Bogut has been enormous this year, leading the Kings to the top of the ladder as the league’s premier rebounder and blocker.
The former NBA champion was particularly prominent in last week’s win over the Brisbane Bullets.
He finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal.
The star effort prompted Carfino to label the performance a “whopper” while Heal also hailed the masterful display.
“You are not always going to judge Bogut on his stats, but I think you can at stages,” Heal said on this week’s episode of The Basketball Show.
“We know he can have a big impact. When you throw in the fact he had no turnovers with those stats it is impressive because it has only ever been done three times in the history of the NBL.
“Bogut is absolutely dominating the game right now and has to be in the top four for the MVP.”
