Help young Swans fans win huge award

THE most touching AFL story of the year has gone global with best mates Jarryd Haines and Mark Smith in contention to pick up a gong at the Laureus World Sports Awards.

The two young Swans fans gained nationwide attention as the subjects of a search by the club following Sydney’s clash with Carlton.

Spectators sitting near the two boys had alerted the club, via social media, to the heartwarming story of Haines, 12, doing a running commentary of the Swan’s big win over the Blues for Smith, 13, who is blind.

After a week of searching the club tracked down the boys and treated them to a VIP experience which included meeting the playing group at training then running through the banner with the team before the final against Essendon.

But it doesn’t have to end there.
