British Grand Prix: Mercedes slam Romain Grosjean over Lewis Hamilton comments

Stewards opted not to take action against the Briton after studying video evidence following a complaint from the Haas driver.

They ruled that while Grosjean “may potentially have been affected” by Hamilton’s presence at turn 15, he was not impeded.

Hamilton took pole by more than half a second and Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff said: “There are some that moan all the time.”

He added that Grosjean “should be happy he’s driving in Formula One” – a reference to 2012, when Grosjean was dubbed a “first-lap nutcase” by Aussie Mark Webber after a run of incidents.

After yesterday’s decision, Grosjean (above) said: “Maybe if it was another driver there would maybe have been something done about it.”
