Barcelona news: Ousmane Dembele responds to Arsenal transfer rumours

The winger signed for Barcelona last summer from Borussia Dortmund for a fee in the region of £135million.

The Frenchman was suffered a serious hamstring injury early on which ruled him out for majority of the season.

The 20-year-old has recently returned to full fitness and is fighting for his position in Ernesto Valverde’s starting XI.

However, Dembele has been unable to really stamp his mark on the team and rumours have become rife of a possible switch to Arsenal at the end of the season.

But Dembele has since moved to silence those remarks as he insists that he will stay and fight for his place at the Nou Camp.

“I’m not going to leave after just one season,” he told Telefoot.

“I signed a five-year contract with Barcelona.

“I’ll be here for a long time.”

Dembele also explained that it may take a little time before he can return to his best form.

“I’m not at the top of my game right now,” he added.

”Little by little, I will return to my best.

“I’m working on my cardio, because I get tired very quickly.

“In Barcelona I have a better lifestyle than in Dortmund.

“I didn’t have a healthy lifestyle in Germany and I didn’t get injured.

“So it’s not because of that.”
