Arsenal news: Aaron Ramsey transfer takes twist as Man Utd and Liverpool keen – EXCLUSIVE

The Gunners have told the midfielder that he won’t be offered a new deal when his contract runs out at the end of the season and he will be allowed to leave.

The Bundesliga giants have been showing a keen interest in Ramsey’s contract talks with , which have collapsed with the club looking to make some wage-bill savings.

And they would like to sit down and offer him a deal to move to Germany as soon as they are allowed under FIFA rules early in the New Year.

The news with be a blow for Manchester United, who have Ramsey near the top of their summer shopping list.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is also mulling over if he wants to get involved in what could become a bidding war for the former Cardiff City man.

But Chelsea are now having second thoughts about making a move for Ramsey after the early-season form of their England players Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Ramsey came off the bench in the 73rd minute during .

Liverpool took the lead thanks to James Milner, but a late strike from Alexandre Lacazette saw the two sides finish all square.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was happy with a draw at the Emirates.

“A point is a good result – Unai Emery can say the same,” Klopp said.

“But we had clear chances. When Arsenal chase the game they throw everyone on the pitch which is really cool and we were not as compact as I wanted.

“Our workhorses in midfield, we put too much on their shoulders. And it was one time we didn’t close Alex Iwobi and he plays the pass for the goal.”

Arsenal manager Unai Emery thought his side could have won, but was pleased with how his players performed.

“We wanted to win but the performance is good,” Emery said.

“We push and we work the match, doing our tactics and with our supporters pushing us with energy.

“For the supporters it is a great match and a good spectacle but I am only 50% happy because we wanted to win.”
