Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker weigh-in LIVE: How light will AJ be ahead of fight?

As this is a heavyweight bout, there is no limit under which the two men have to make weight.

However, there has been plenty of speculation about what condition the two fighters will be in and the numbers at which they will tip the scales.

Joshua was a career-high 18st 2lb when he weighed in for his last fight, against Carlos Takam at the same venue, but later admitted he was too heavy and has made a conscious effort to slim down this time around.

Parker meanwhile has taken his opponent’s “pie-eater” jibes and is also expected to be a lighter, faster version of himself.

Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker weigh-in LIVE

12.45pm: I had a good old chat with Eddie Hearn last week and, as two rather portly men, we obviously talked about weight. And he’s already made the mistake of trying to predict AJ’s weight.

“The truth is he will weigh what he weighs. I think he’s made a conscious effort to come in lighter, he’s been light through the whole camp.

“But when he stops training on the Monday of fight week, he goes back to his house and while he has a nutritionist, he’s not training and he’s still eating three, four, five meals a day.

“If I did that, I would put on half a stone. 10 days out, he was probably 17st 5lb so he could quite easily be 18 stone when he weighs in.

“He doesn’t want to talk about it because he just doesn’t know. I’ve asked him and he doesn’t know.”

12.30pm: They are queuing down the street, just to see AJ and Parker get their shirts off and flex. Aren’t boxing fans great?

There is a higher cause today too. Tickets are just £1 with the proceeds going to the family of Scott Westgarth, the boxer who sadly lost his life after winning a fight in Doncaster last month.

The Matchroom Boxing Foundation will also match the proceeds to double the donation.

There are around 4,000 people expected to battle through the Welsh rain this afternoon so there are hopes of raising more than £10,000.
