WHEN Jamie Elliott rocked up at the MCG on Sunday sporting a bleached-blond streak through his hair, it attracted plenty of attention.
After all, the style was a throwback to the late 1990s or early 2000s, rather than the typical short-back-and-sides or man-bun trends of 2017.
And teammate Adam Treloar says the Magpies were just as surprised by Elliott’s new look.
“I don’t know what’s going on with Jamie Elliott’s hair, I don’t know what’s going on,” Treloar told SEN radio.
“I came into the club, and (I’d) seen it, and I almost threw up.
“I thought ‘what are you doing Billy?’.
“But he likes it, so we’ll go with it.”

While Elliott’s hair might have caught plenty of attention, it didn’t seem to stop him performing on the football field.
The small forward enjoyed his most productive afternoon yet against Brisbane on Sunday, booting a season-high four goals — along with four behinds.
We can only assume the freshly bleached-blond locks made him stand out even more as a target inside Collingwood’s forward-50.
While Elliott got all the attention, Treloar revealed another teammate, fringe forward Jesse White, has also changed up his look this year.
“I don’t know if … you’ve seen Jesse White lately but he’s dyed his hair almost grey,” Treloar said.
“He legit, it’s pretty much a light grey, he dyed his hair grey.
“So if you ever see him, ask ‘why’d you do that, mate? You going the old look, are you?”
At 29, White is certainly one of the older Magpies out and about this season.
But the grey seems a little extreme, to say the least.
Either way, we’re intrigued to see what the next fashion faux pas at Collingwood will be.
