- Promoted Wolves were beaten 2-0 by Leicester in their last league match while City thrashed Huddersfield 6-1

Tom: Does anyone know why is Pep Guardiola is not starting Sane anymore, didn’t start him against Arsenal nor Huddersfield?
Wildly: As fans, we shouldn’t be fearing today, we should be embracing it. This is what we fought for. Beating the likes of Burton and Reading is fine as far as it goes, but you want to be up against the best. Nothing is impossible.
Matt: Am I the only one who is massively disturbed by the Wolves keeper wearing the No.11 shirt?!
Yes, Matt. Yes you are.
“DESTROYED”
12:20: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: “Wolves destroyed the Championship. They had an incredible season. They play attractive football and attack with good players. We knew how tough it would be last season in the Carabao Cup and it was.”
DAVID SILVA…
12:15: Sky Sports are quite rightly praising David Silva ahead of today’s clash at Molineux.
After a nice montage and some touching words from Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Pep Guardiola, Joleon Lescott delivered his verdict.
He described Silva as “the most comfortablest” and “the most humblest” player he’s played with… Thanks, Joleon.

NO BRAVO REPLACEMENT
12:10: I mean, how could you possibly replace someone as unpredictable and somewhat hilarious as Claudio Bravo?!
The Premier League champions this week recalled 19-year-old Montenegrin Aro Muric from his loan spell at NAC Breda following injury to second-choice keeper Claudio Bravo.
Bravo is facing a lengthy lay-off after rupturing an Achilles tendon in training.
The only other back-up City have to number one Ederson is 20-year-old local Academy product Daniel Grimshaw. Neither Muric nor Grimshaw have made a first-team appearance for City.
City have been linked with Diego Cavalieri, the former Liverpool reserve who is now a free agent after leaving Crystal Palace, but Guardiola said that is not being considered.
‘WE WON’T CHANGE’
12:05: That’s the message from Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who refuses to ditch his philosophy in order to upset Manchester City.
“We don’t know how to play another way. There are two ways to react to Leicester, we react by changing or not. We will not change because we want to build something,” he said. “It’s important we keep doing the same thing we train to do, as we want to achieve.
“Adapt, of course, because you are facing a good team, but don’t change. When you build something you have to truly believe in what you’re doing.”

Spin: What has happened to Leroy Sane? Young player of the year last season, dropped from the Germany squad and now suddenly can’t get in the City team? He is ruining my fantasy team!
Patrick: Imagine chasing David Silva around for 60 minutes and just when you think you’re about to catch a break, Riyad Mahrez comes on in his place. Manchester City’s depth is just incredible.
Simon: Big game this afternoon for Ruben Neves this afternoon against City. Could be the audition he needs to be the next star in the Citizens midfield.
STRANGER THINGS…
11:45: Manchester City lost the grand total of two games last season, against Manchester United and Liverpool, as they romped to the title and Pep Guardiola’s side have started this campaign by beating Chelsea, Arsenal and Huddersfield by scoring 10 goals and conceding just one.
However, Wolves did hold City to a 0-0 draw in the Carabao Cup last season before losing on penalties and while they are 12/1 underdogs, stranger things have happened.

TEAM NEWS – MANCHESTER CITY
11:40: Pep Guardiola bingo was relatively simple to predict today.
The Manchester City boss recalls Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling to his starting XI with John Stones and Gabriel Jesus dropping to the bench.
Sergio Aguero retains his place following his 13th City hat-trick against Huddersfield last week.
TEAM NEWS – WOLVES
11:35: Nuno Espirito Santo has kept faith with the same side who were beaten by Leicester last weekend. Not overly surprising considering they struck the woodwork three times during that match.
Ruben Neves, who was linked with a move to Manchester City last season, starts alongside Joao Moutinho and Jota. Wing-back Matt Doherty has recovered from a knock that forced him off at the King Power Stadium.

GOOD MORNING
11:20: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Wolves vs Manchester City from Molineux Stadium.
How’s everyone feeling? We had leaving drinks at Express HQ yesterday and that was a rare opportunity for Sport to socialise with a few other departments in the building.
A few genuine attempts were made to mix and network, but ultimately we failed when arguments broke out about fantasy football, Dennis Bergkamp and England’s greatest manager.
Yep, we’re really good fun at a party…
Anyway, you’re here to listen to my tragic evening out. You’re here to see what Pep Guardiola and Nuno Espirito Santo have done with their starting XI’s.
The team news and line-ups will be out shortly. Standby…
