Dash cam footage captured the moment a rogue driver suffered instant karma after breaking the rules.
Taken from a vehicle bringing up the rear of a long line of traffic, the video showed another car zooming up the lane to the right.
All the vehicles in the left lane were patiently waiting to turn left at a T intersection.
But the other driver had different plans.
Speeding along the right turn only lane, they bypassed all the other vehicles, before veering right and immediately performing an illegal U-turn.
Cutting in front of all the other cars, the driver zoomed past along the turning road.
But their risky manoeuvre did not go unnoticed. One of the vehicles waiting in the line of traffic happened to be a police car.
The sirens instantly sounded and the officers chased down the offending car, pulling it over straight away.
Giving away his apparent frustration at being cut off, the man who was behind the dash cam yelled out as he drove past the car with the police.
The driver could be heard on the clip saying: “Yes! Oh, I can’t believe it.”
Rather than merging in at a safe distance, the driver decided to speed alongside the cars by staying in the middle lane.
Just as the exit loomed, the car veered right into the lane and tucked in front of a car at a near-standstill.
The driver thought he’d gotten away with his cunning plan until he saw the police car sitting just two cars in front.
All of a sudden, the door of the police car opened and a Connecticut State Trooper stepped out, angrily pointing her finger at the driver to pull over.
