Travelling up an escalator with a suitcase may not seem like a dangerous thing to do.
However, a new video shows the shocking and dangerous falls by people who attempt to do just that.
Network Rail has released the video in an attempt to show the safety issues this can cause to people, especially those with mobility issues.
It makes for a painful watch.
The video shows different passengers attempt to take their wheelie suitcases on the escalator, only for them to end up falling on them.
One woman tumbles down many of the steps before other passengers run to her aid.
Others show the painful fall before the escalator comes to an emergency stop.
Many of the reasons they fall are due to the unstable bags on the steps.
The clip was filmed at Leeds train station, with Network Rail tweeting out the video stating: “Travelling with heavy luggage this summer?
“Take the lift and avoid taking a tumble like these holiday makers at @NetworkRailLDS.”
Twitter users weren’t as sympathetic to the video.
One user wrote: “Or put your case down on the step in front like sensible people do…”
Other escalator injuries have also been caught on camera that ended just as badly.
One video showed shoppers in China all take a nasty tumble on a moving escalator.
The video shows the moment it changes direction, making them all fly into each other.
