Volkswagen turns 20,000 Legos into a classic Bus and new Atlas diorama

Volkswagen is keen to draw a close connection between the Bus, nostalgic people-hauler of yesteryear, and the very of-the-moment Atlas three-row. In addition to the Atlas Weekend Edition Concept we saw yesterday, Volkswagen will be bringing a special Lego display made of 20,000 bricks to the Chicago Auto Show.

Of the two, the Bus is a little more true to the original, faithfully capturing the cheery fascia and utilitarian shape with a two-tone paint job and baby moon hubcaps. The Atlas is a bit more abstract. Channel your inner Lego-loving child and use your imagination to see the three-row emerge from the bricks. In total, the diorama is 2 feet by 3.5 feet, and features a cityscape next to a forest scene.

If you want some VW inspiration for your next Lego build, stop by the Volkswagen booth at the Chicago show to check it out.
