Insane moment gifts Reds win1:25
A-League: Highlights from the A-League.
FOOTBALL Federation Australia will investigate allegations that Adelaide United assistant coach Jacobo Ramallo was assaulted by former Reds captain Ross Aloisi in the heated aftermath of their last-gasp win over Brisbane Roar.
Ramallo was reportedly floored in the incident as tempers frayed at Coopers Stadium after Sergio Cirio scored a 99th-minute winner from the penalty spot, clinching Sunday’s game 2-1.
Roar’s goalkeeper Michael Theo was sent off in injury time after he struck Reds defender Dylan McGowan with an elbow to the face, leading to the penalty kick.
An argument erupted on the sidelines after the on-field drama and the assault allegedly occured in the tunnel.
First aid officers were subseuqently called to treat Ramallo. The incident was reportedly witnessed by the A-League match commissioner.
Police officers were also called to the tunnel but an SA Police media spokesman said the force was “not aware” of an incident.
An Adelaide official said the FFA was aware of the incident and would investigate on Monday.
