TUI customers claim the company has left passengers ‘stranded’ as the travel provider appears to have cancelled numerous flights overnight.
Many customers have taken to Twitter overnight to reveal their anger and frustrations, claiming flights were cancelled at the last minute with no recourse in place in airports across the UK including Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester.
Passengers claim to have been left without accommodation or even water.
Many are taking to the social media platform to demand compensation.
Pictures taken at a Birmingham airport by an irritating customer shows police at the scene, but the Twitter user claims there was no TUI staff.
“Plenty of police but no sign of #tui representatives following multiple flights cancelled at #Birminghamairport,” they wrote.
Another claimed TUI has promised them hotels, but that they were being rerouted to Manchester instead of being given hotel rooms.
They wrote: “Being shipped off to Manchester to catch a flight over night so TUI can save money by not giving us the hotels we were promised, couldn’t give a f*** about their passengers.”
Passengers complained at a lack of water and food as they were left delayed for seven hours.
They said: “The queue at the tui desk after a 7 hour delay and cancelled flight #whatadisgrace. Please retweet.
“No food no drink no plane and NO TUI STAFF.”
Another passenger in Birmingham Airport wrote: “Worst customer service ever #Tui – flight delay 7 hours – not a rep in sight.
“No information, no refreshments, no hotel rooms and a new flight time +24 hours.
“You will be hearing from my lawyer @TUIUK Birmingham Airport.”
In Manchester one passenger said: “@TUIUKcares UPDATE: Told at 22:15 we were going to Manchester for a 5:55am flight tomorrow.
“1hr 45mins later find out the flight has been changed with NO NOTIFICATION. #tui what are you playing at?! Honestly shocking customer service. #tom7644”
The problems impacted customers abroad also including one at Rhodes.
“Can’t wait to get to our gate for our flight in 15 mins to London Stansted @TUIUK @tui Where is the information at Rhodes?” they wrote.
“Utter chaos, in our queue for security. Not been called through or anything. No fans, feeling poorly. Disgrace.”
TUI told Express.co.uk: “We would like to apologise to all customers affected by the disruption caused to their flights yesterday.
“Due a closure at Birmingham airport and mandatory crew rest restrictions the flights are now scheduled to depart today (June 17th 2018). All customers affected by these delays were provided with overnight accommodation and welfare before they continue their journey today.”

· Customers travelling to Birmingham on TOM7645 will now depart Rhodes at 17:30 this evening
· Customers travelling to Fuerteventura on TOM7678 will now depart from Manchester at 11:00 this morning
· Customers travelling to Birmingham on TOM7678 will now depart Fuerteventura at 15:15 this afternoon
· Customers travelling on TOM7650 to Kos will now depart from Birmingham at 20:35 this evening
· Customers travelling to Birmingham on TOM7651 will now depart Kos at 03:30 on 18th June 2018
