Transfer News LIVE updates: Chelsea spree; Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Man Utd latest

TRANSFER NEWS LIVE UPDATES: All the latest rumours and done deals ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline…

Arsene wants Draxler… again!

12:00: Arsene Wenger has planned for life without Alexis Sanchez, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.

The latest reports claim Manchester City have made direct contact with Arsenal and offered winger Raheem Sterling plus cash for the Chilean superstar.

Arsene Wenger has publicly stated that Sanchez, 28, will not be sold this summer.

But should he perform a U-turn, Giulianelli believes Paris St-Germain star Julian Draxler is top of his shortlist.

Sanchez asks to leave Chile camp

11:40: Alexis Sanchez has reportedly asked for permission to leave the Chile camp for personal reasons, according to TV13.

The news comes shortly after The Mirror revealed Manchester City have offered Raheem Sterling plus cash for the attacker, who’s contract expires in June 2018.

The broadcaster don’t explicitly say what Sanchez’s ‘personal reasons’ are, but it’s likely his absence is to resolve his future.

Marseille bid for Origi

11:15: Marseille have made an approach for Liverpool forward Divock Origi, according to L’Equipe.

The Belgian international has played just nine minutes of Premier League football this season, and appears surplus to requirements under Jurgen Klopp.

The report claims boss Rudi Garcia has asked management to sign Origi, although it’s unclear whether Marseille have requested a season-long loan deal or permanent transfer.

Origi, 22, is supposedly concerned about missing out on Belgium’s World Cup squad and would like to leave Anfield to secure regular first-team football.

Bilic given reprieve

11:00: West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been given four games to save his job after their disastrous start to the campaign.

West Ham sit rock bottom of the Premier League table after losing their opening three games of the season, in which they have shipped 10 goals.

Bilic held his usual post-match debriefing with Hammers co-owner David Sullivan on Monday to discuss Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Newcastle.

And according to The Mirror, the West Ham boss was told results must improve next month when they play three of their four league games at the London Stadium.

Swansea want Sanches

10:45: Swansea have joined the battle to sign Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches.

Paul Clement is desperate to sign a creative midfielder capable of replacing Gylfi Sigurdsson, who joined Everton in a club-record deal.

And The Mirror claim Swansea have identified Sanches as the ideal player.

The Portugal international, who’s been linked with Premier League duo Liverpool and Chelsea, has struggles to establish himself at Bayern Munich and is considered surplus to requirements.

Wimmer join Stoke

10:13: Stoke have announced the signing of Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer for £18m.

Wimmer was free to leave Spurs this summer after joining for £4.3m two years ago from Budesliga outfit Koln.

Davinson Sanchez had already replaced him in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad after joining in a club-record £42m deal.

Wimmer has penned a five-year contract at Stoke.

Liverpool have two Lemar bids rejected

09:40: Liverpool have had two bids rejected by Monaco for winger Thomas Lemar.

Sky Sports said the latest offer made by Liverpool were around £64.8m, having previously submitted an offer worth £55.5m.

Monaco are determined to keep the 21-year-old this summer.

Sanchez Sterling swap deal

08:55: Manchester City have offered Raheem Sterling to Arsenal in stunning player-plus-cash deal in a bid to sign Alexis Sanchez.

Pep Guardiola is desperate to land the Chilean with Alexis Sanchez having less than a year to run on his contract at the Emirates.

And The Mirror claim City are now prepared to include Sterling, plus cash, in a package to tempt the Gunners into doing business.

Arsenal insist Sanchez is not for sale but following the club’s disappointing 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday the forward is thought to be unhappy to stay.

Liverpool sign Keita… for next summer

08:10: Liverpool have announced their deal to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig next summer.

The Reds tweeted: “#LFC have agreed a deal with RB Leipzig for the future transfer of Naby Keita”.

Liverpool will pay a club-record £55m to land Keita but want two signings before deadline day with Virgil van Dijk (£70m) and Thomas Lemar (£75m) in Jurgen Klopp’s sights.

Chelsea’s £75m double deal

07:15: Chelsea are closing in on a £75m double early transfer deadline day swoop.

Chelsea agreed a £35m fee with Arsenal for England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – and are moving towards a £40m deal for Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently with Gareth Southgate’s England squad as they prepare for Friday night’s World Cup qualifying clash in Malta.

But he will now discuss personal terms with Chelsea and is expected to have his medical at the national team’s headquarters at St George’s Park in the next 24 hours before signing a five-year deal.

Bale to leave Real?

06:30: Gareth Bale could spark a last-minute transfer scramble with his Real Madrid future looking increasingly bleak.

Bale was whistled off by fans at the Bernabeu on Sunday night after Zinedine Zidane substituted Madrid’s record signing against Valencia with the scores level at 1-1 as they chased a winner in the final 15 minutes.

While Bale struggled, Madrid’s new darling Marco Asensio shone with the 21-year-old winger scoring both goals as they ended up drawing 2-2, continuing his blistering start to the season.

And the Manchester Evening News say this will come as big encouragement to Manchester United in their pursuit of the player.
