This rope-free elevator can move sideways

MULTI is a rope-free elevator, built by German industrial company thyssenkrupp. It uses motors instead of ropes, which allows the cars to travel not only up and down, but laterally as well.

The first system will be installed in East Side Tower, a new building to be built in Berlin.
