Super Bowl LI: Why the New England Patriots WILL beat the Atlanta Falcons in Houston

The Patriots are chasing a fifth NFL title tonight against the Atlanta Falcons and arrive in Houston as strong favourites.

It would also be quarterback Tom Brady’s fifth win with the team but Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Michael Bennett believes that the Patriots are so much more than just the 39-year-old playmaker.

“I don’t think the Patriots have any better talent than anyone else,” Bennett told Express Sport.

“But they all do their jobs more often than most other teams.

“The NFL is a league that is about precision and details – that Patriots team executes very very well on a consistent basis.

“So if you as a team can execute consistently then you’ll beat the Patriots, but it’s such a game of inches.”

Atlanta meanwhile have only ever reached one Super Bowl before, in 1998.

They were beaten 34-19 by the Denver Broncos on that occasion and are desperate to land their first ever title.

And while Bennett is backing the Patriots to win, he knows that there is enough talent in the Atlanta ranks to make the difference.

“The Falcons have always had a lot of talent so I don’t think getting to the Super Bowl is surprising to people that follow the team,” Bennett added.

“But what has been surprising is why they haven’t been this team in the past.

“It makes sense that they are successful now.”
