Rogue pilot crashes plane into van on Chechnya road (VIDEO)
A pilot in the southern Russian republic of Chechnya found out the hard way why a road shouldn’t be used as a runway when his light-engine plane slammed into the back of a van.
The incident was caught on camera and posted on Twitter with a comment: “In Chechnya, even accidents are not the same as in any other corner of the planet.”
The Chechen Republic emergencies services dealt with the accident, they confirmed in a statement, adding that all those injured were taken to the hospital, without specifying their number.
A source in the same agency told TASS that the pilot, who did not have permission for the flight, was receiving treatment for minor injuries.
