Qantas launches new reclining seats that won’t irritate the passenger behind

We all know how annoying it is when you’re flying and the person in front of you moves their seat back, taking up valuable space.

Now Qantas have launched brand new seats that promise to make the flying experience all the more pleasant.

The seats will appear on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners from October and are 5.6 inches wider than Qantas economy seats.

Most importantly they can recline 38 inches, in a way that won’t have the passenger behind huffing and puffing.

Different sections of the seat move to accommodate the passenger.

It rolls backwards to create a less invasive feel for the passenger behind.

Fliers can enjoy five individual storage compartments, two USB charging points, AC power access and a personal LED light.

A premium economy ticket will also buy you ergonomic pillows and privacy wings equipped with reading lights.

The airline with the most comfortable seats has been found to be Asiana Airlines – one of South Korea’s major airlines.

Although it depends on the aircraft you are travelling in, but generally this carrier’s economy seat pitch are between 32 to 34 inches and up to 18 inches wide.

Japan Airlines came in second, with similarly large, comfy seats.

The main factor for this carrier was the economy seats have a recline of 111 degrees.

Flight attendants revealed they are weighing up passengers before they’ve even boarded the plane – and this is what they’re looking out for.

Cabin crew have revealed that first impressions are particularly important when you board a flight.

Flight attendants will be weighing up passengers way before take-off, keeping an eye out for certain things.

One particular element that might catch their eye is passengers’ physique – they’re looking out for the fittest people on board.
