Premier League LIVE: Sunderland face relegation, Saints, Stoke and West Brom level

SUNDERLAND v BOURNEMOUTH

Analysis from our reporter Ian Murtagh, at the Stadium of Light.

Welcome to the Stadium of Plight where Sunderland have not won in 2017. They’re facing a Bournemouth side without a league win on their travels this calendar year. Should be a cracker, eh?

This is the day the Black Cats’ ten year residency in the Premier League comes to an end. If Hull, who are at Southampton, better the Black Cats’ result this afternoon, the trapdoor will open.

Whatever the outcome today, no-one seriously thinks Sunderland can survive. Victory would merely delay the inevitable.

David Moyes is without ten senior professionals with Lee Cattermole, Jason Denayer, Jack Rodwell and Darron Gibson all failing late fitness tests and Billy Jones reporting sick. That’s what happens when you’re anchored to the foot of the table.

Bournemouth make just one change from the side which thrashed Boro 4-0 last week, Lewis Cook replacing Dan Gosling.
