Premier League legend praises Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho: It’s great he’s replaced me

Juninho became a Middlesbrough icon during three separate spells with the club.

The Brazilian’s skills and eye for goal got fans off their seats.

Coutinho meanwhile at Liverpool, has established himself as one of the best players in the top flight.

Last weekend, Coutinho netted in the Reds’ 2-1 win away to Stoke.

In doing so, it was his 30th goal, making him the highest scoring Brazilian in Premier League history.

And Juninho is pleased for his compatriot.

“I am delighted that he takes my record,” Juninho told the Daily Mail.

“I can’t think of anyone better – the record couldn’t be in better hands.”
