Optical illusion captured on a plane by airline employee – with hilarious results

A viral image has caused a storm online after an airline worker created a hilarious optical illusion onboard a plane.

Timothy LaBranche, who works for JetBlue Airways, had the plane to himself when starting his day at 3am.

He then set up his camera to take the image which resulted in the hilarious image.

The image has had over 100,000 views on Imgur already.

The image shows him sitting in every seat of the plane, thanks to a lot of hard work taking each image separately.

Mr LaBranche told Express.co.uk: “I took the photo one morning before work.

“Since I had access to an empty aircraft, I was able to spend the hour that it took to sit in every seat. I actually took about 110 [photographs]

“Afterwards, I spend a total of 10 hours, over the course of two days, painting all the images into one composite in Photoshop.”

Zooming in over 1000 per cent to some of the images, it creates a hilarious effect.

After not being fully happy with the image, he ended up creating a second image where he changed the clothes to make it more realistic.

This time, there were 200 of him on the plane, compared to the 100 of him before.

He hilariously named it “200 Tims on a Plane”.

Many online users found it hilarious, with one commenting: “I love that he coordinated himself to look at his own phone from another shot.”

Another user almost missed the point of the image.

They remarked: “I thought they looked a bit alike. Then I read the title.”

Mr LaBranche explained what inspired him to attempt the shot.

He explained: “Multiplicity photos are always fun to do, and I thought having on in an aircraft would definitely be a unique shot.”

Another optical illusion was captured by a driver in a viral video. Did you spot it?
