Late mail: In a major boost for South Sydney following skipper Greg Inglis’ season-ending ACL injury, Adam Reynolds has been cleared to take on the Sea Eagles.

The premiership-winning playmaker was expected to miss up to four weeks, but he received a clearance from the club’s medical staff after completing the captain’s run on Friday.

Robert Jennings will make his club debut, replacing Siosifa Talaki.

George Burgess has earned a spot on the bench.

Late Mail: Benji Marshall trained strongly with the Broncos on Thursday and will be 18th man for his new club tonight. The ex-Kiwi Test captain was slated to play for Redcliffe against the CQ Capras in their Intrust Super Cup clash on Saturday in Rockhampton. However, Marshall will not play for the Dolphins. He is expected to instead make his Intrust Super Cup debut next weekend. With Broncos utility Alex Glenn (concussion) still to be assessed by doctors, there is scope for Marshall to make his Broncos debut off the bench at Suncorp Stadium.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he did,” Green said when asked if Bennett could blood Marshall.

Meanwhile, Tautau Moga came through Brisbane’s captain’s run unscathed on Thursday after failing to finish training last Sunday following a suspected heart scare. Broncos medicos ruled out a serious condition, putting it down to illness and stress, and Moga showed no ill-effects during the captain’s run.

Broncos teammate Josh McGuire failed to train on Tuesday with a minor injury but the Maroons hardman ran with the squad on Thursday, after signing a four-year contract extension on Wednesday. Alex Glenn (concussion) has been cleared.

But Green on Thursday confirmed the Cowboys would be as per program with Bowen, Shaun Fensom, Gideon Mosby-Gela and prodigy Kalyn Ponga cut from the interchange. “He brings that experience. There will be a big game atmosphere which can overawe some young players — it’s good to have him back,” Green said of Winterstein.
