Djokovic has finally put his injury woes behind him and is gunning for his fourth title at the All England Club.
The Serbian came through an epic five-set battle with Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals and is now one step away from his 13th Grand Slam title.
Big-serving Anderson is the man who stands in Djokovic’s way, and the South African will be full of confidence, especially after knocking out top seed Roger Federer.
Former world No 1 Djokovic remains the favourite to lift the trophy, but he has played down his chances.
“I don’t know if I’ll be the clear favourite in that one,” he said.
“I think we’re quite even. He’s playing I think his second Grand Slam finals. He played the US Open finals last year.
“He’s definitely playing the tennis of his life. He’s coming off from two epic marathon five-set wins.
“I don’t think he has much to lose really tomorrow. He’s going to come out with big serves and big tennis.
“Hopefully I’ll be able to weather the storm.”
Novak Djokovic vs Kevin Anderson LIVE
12noon: Good afternoon and welcome to the Wimbledon final!
What a two weeks we have had at the All England Club and it now comes down to Novak Djokovic vs Kevin Anderson.
Both players came through marathon semi-final clashes which lasted over five and a half hours so it will be interesting to see if that takes any toll on the outcome.
Anderson had Saturday to rest while Djokovic continued his battle with Nadal, so that could also play into the hands of the South African, although he is the underdog.
The match will get underway at 2pm so stay tuned for all the build-up, action and reaction direct from Centre Court!
