Ninth 'Fast and Furious' movie release date pushed back

In February 2016, Vin Diesel announced release dates for both the ninth and tenth installments of the Fast and Furious franchise. The initial release date for the ninth movie was apparently a bit off, though, as the movie’s official social media pages announced today that the movie is now slated for April 10, 2020.

This date is nearly a full year from the previously planned date of April 19, 2019. No explanation for the delay was given with the new date, and no word of changes to the tenth film’s April 2, 2021 release date. So if nothing else goes awry, we’ll have Fast and Furious movies in back-to-back years.
