The Houston Rockets had their most impressive win in recent weeks by beating the Raptors, who are second in the Eastern Conference.
The win kept the Rockets fifth in the Western Conference, secure in the playoff places.
Harden also maintained his record of consecutive 30+ point games.
He has scored more than 30 in his last 22 games, and showed no signs of stopping against the Raptors.
After dropping 61 against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, he took more of a back seat role against the Raptors.
And speaking after the game, Harden explained that he is willing to let his team-mates take more shots if needed.
“I’m just trying to do whatever it takes to win,” he said.
“Honestly, if I have to score a lot of points tonight [I would have].
“My teammates were making shots, Kenneth brought amazing energy.
“It was a great team effort.
“Whatever the team needs me to do, I’m willing to do.”
The game went right down to the wire, with the Rockets up by two while the Raptors had the ball with 15 seconds left.
Kawhi Leonard took the ball down court, and Harden guarded him effectively.
The Raptors star airballed, giving the win to Houston.
And Harden admitted that he knew exactly what Leonard was going to do.
“I knew he was going to pull up for the three,” he said.
“I was just trying to contest it as good as possible.
“He hit two big three’s previously, it was kind of sloppy, but we won. That’s all that matters.”
