Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

As if Chelsea coming up against their most successful manager was not enough of an interesting narrative, today also sees Jose Mourinho renew hostilities with Antonio Conte.

This is the first match since a public war of words that saw the managers sling mud at one another in January.

Liverpool cranked up the pressure on their top-four rivals by thrashing West Ham 4-1 to move up to second in the Premier League table.

The victory leaves Jurgen Klopp’s side a point ahead of third-placed United, who themselves are a single point above fourth-placed Chelsea.

MANCHESTER UNITED 1-1 CHELSEA

HT: And that’s the half-time whistle. Chelsea played the more expansive football and got their reward with a fine strike from Willian.

But Manchester United’s dogged determination got them back into the game with a smart finish from Romelu Lukaku.

Poised nicely for the second half. Very nicely indeed.

46: Romelu Lukaku has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season, however this was his first against a team currently in the top eight.

Manchester United are level inside six minutes as Romelu Lukaku nets against his former club.

It’s a lovely team goal with Sanchez playing in Martial, who tees up Lukaku to slot home the equaliser.

35: Willian has been directly involved in 19 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season (12 goals and seven assists); his most in a single campaign for the Blues.

33: Just looking at the opener again, and it’s Lindelof who just kept backing off and backing off Hazard in the build-up. De Gea will also be frustrated at being beaten at his near post.

MANCHESTER UNITED 0-1 CHELSEA – WILLIAN

31: That Alexis Sanchez miss is looking more serious now as Willian makes the breakthrough.

It all started with Pogba failing to win an aerial challenge with Victor Moses.

Hazard collected the loose ball and threaded it through to Willian, who rifles it past De Gea.

29: Old Trafford in stunned silence after seeing Alexis Sanchez squander a golden opportunity. The Chilean took a touch from Martial’s pass but couldn’t get a clean contact on the strike and it was easy for Courtois.

Why didn’t he hit it first time?! Should be 1-0.

Paul Pogba has been named in Manchester United’s starting line-up to face Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The France international, a substitute for the midweek Champions League draw at Sevilla, is included in a midfield alongside youngster Scott McTominay and former Chelsea player Nemanja Matic.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater and Alvaro Morata, who scored the winner in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge last November, start for Chelsea.

Chelsea will continue to be without injured trio David Luiz (ankle), Ross Barkley (hamstring) and Tiemoue Bakayoko (unspecified knock).
