Bale talks

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly desperate to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Mourinho has held talks with Bale, with the United boss promising him he can win the Ballon d’Or at Old Trafford.

Speaking on Spanish sports programme El Chiringuito, Inda said: ”Mou has given an argument to Bale, who loves him. Mourinho said, ‘Gareth, with us, with me, you will be once and for all the Golden Ball [win the Balon d’Or].

“That is what Mou a Bale has transmitted to him.”

Mourinho wants three signings

Jose Mourinho remains in the market to improve three positions in his team.

According to Manchester Evening News, the former Chelsea manager wants to sign a new left-back, centre-back and back-up striker.

A number of stars have been touted to make the move to Old Trafford including Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and West Ham star Marko Arnautovic.

Gareth Bale of Real has also been linked with a United transfer.

But all three clubs are playing hardball and do not want to lose their key players.

MEN also report that Mourinho is happy with his squad and that he believes Ashley Young and Luke Shaw are okay options at left-back.

Milinkovic-Savic boost

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s move to Manchester United has received a massive boost with Lazio reportedly eyeing up Liverpool star Marko Grujic.

United are keen to sign the midfielder but the Italian club have so far been reluctant to sell.

However, Liverpool could lend their rivals a helping hand by opting to sell Marko Grujic to Lazio with the Italian club weighing up a £5m offer, the Mirror claim.

Should Lazio sign Grujic, the Red Devils will have a greater chance of signing Milinkovic-Savic.

Liverpool could be open to the idea of selling, or loaning out the 22-year-old, with Fabinho and Naby Keita arriving in midfield next season.
