It has been claimed Mourinho was involved in a war of words with them following Manchester United‘s shock defeat to Newcastle last weekend.
Mourinho reportedly blamed Pogba and Jones for the 1-0 loss and got involved in a row with them after the game at St James’ Park.
Pogba was hauled off by Mourinho and he cut an angry figure on the sidelines as he watched United go down to defeat.
But United bosses have moved to deny reports of a fall out and described the claim as ‘total rubbish’.
A club source told the Daily Star: “Reports of a bust-up in the dressing room following the Newcastle match are total rubbish.”
Pogba missed United’s FA Cup win at Huddersfield on Saturday due to illness.
But United officials were unable to reveal the exact nature of Pogba’s problem and it remains to be seen if he returns to the fold this week when Mourinho’s men face Sevilla in Spain in the Champions League.
When asked about Pogba’s illness before the game at the John Smith’s Stadium, Mourinho said: “I don’t know and I honestly don’t care. I will think about him after the match.
“Yesterday (Friday) he was working normally with us. We prepared for the game and told the players the team. He was in it.”
Mourinho has been left seething by reports claiming Pogba has a difficult relationship with his manager, regrets rejoining United from Juventus and wants to leave Old Trafford this summer.
