Lukaku is the joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League alongside Alvaro Morata and Sergio Aguero on six strikes.
The Belgium international hit the winner as Manchester United beat Southampton 1-0 on Saturday.
But Lukaku’s performances have ben overshadowed by a controversial song sung by United fans about the striker’s manhood.
United fans sang the chant again at St Mary’s, prompting a tersely-worded statement from the Old Trafford club saying they will ‘take action’ against those responsible.
And now Lukaku’s high-profile agent Raiola has added his own thoughts to the situation.
He said: “We should be talking about Romelu’s performance as a player. At the moment, everyone is talking about the song.”
Five of United’s next six games are away from home, starting with their Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday. They play Liverpool at Anfield on 14 October.
Lukaku has scored 12 goals in 10 games for club and country this season.
He has asked Manchester United fans to “move on” from the song, but former midfielder Paul Ince does not believe it to be racist.
“Personally, I don’t think the chant is racist,” Ince told Paddy Power.
“I honestly think it’s a group of fans that have got carried away and did not expect the backlash they have got. I’d say it’s just a bit of fun, that’s got out of control now.
“For a player to hear that sung about themselves, I do think they’d think it was amusing, a bit of a laugh. If this chant was being sang at me when I was playing, I would just laugh it off and that would be it.
“Fans have sung chants for years and far worse than that in my time, though I suppose a lot of them would have never been heard because of social media.
“I don’t think Romelu Lukaku would say it was racist.”
