Love Island 2017 – TV show causes SURGE in flight searches to Mallorca

The series, which sees youngsters finding love and lust in a villa on the Spanish island, has sent flight searches to the sun-soaked destination soaring by 31 per cent.

Flight booking site Kiwi.com, which has reported the increase in searches from the UK to Mallorca, says the ITV series has really put the destination on the map for holidaymakers.

Alison Couper, from Kiwi.com, said: “Whether you love it or hate it, Love Island has once again taken the nation by storm.

“We have seen a significant amount of Brits reacting to the TV phenomenon by searching for their own romantic story with a lastminute trip to Mallorca.

“The island is the perfect setting for young adults to find their match.”

Now in its third series, Love Island’s ratings are higher than ever with viewers hooked on the show’s latest couplings and break-ups.

The reality series reaches its climax with a live final on Monday, July 24.
