But it’s not Mohamed Salah or Roberto Firmino – despite the pair costing more than £60million between them.
Instead Kop legend Dalglish has highlighted Dominic Solanke, a 20-year-old summer signing from Chelsea, as the man who could become a future hitman.
That’s despite Solanke not having scored for the club since arriving at Anfield.
Dalglish said: “They have signed the young lad Solanke up front who’s only 20.
“He might be a good goalscorer for Liverpool in the years to come.”
Although Daglish hasn’t forgotten Salah altogether.
He added: “Mo Salah has been the most exciting signing of the summer for Liverpool. He’s come in after a fantastic season last year with Roma.
“Obviously some people over here had already seen him play whilst he was at Chelsea but he’s come in and scored a good few goals and has looked really threatening, he’s really quick.
“He takes it up to people and they start to panic.
“He can go inside or out but he obviously prefers it on his left foot.”
Liverpool take on Manchester United on Saturday in the early kick-off at Anfield.
