MARC Leishman was last in this position at Augusta in 2013.
Back in the year made famous by Adam Scott, he was tied for second at the halfway stage behind Jason Day.
He went on to finish in a tie for fourth with Tiger Woods.
Five years later and he’s back in the hunt, sitting just two shots behind leader Patrick Reed after an impressive second round 67 highlighted by an incredible iron shot on the 15th that led to an eagle.
He tees off with the American in the final pairing of the day at 4.30am (EST).
“I just feel comfortable around here,” Leishman said after his second round.

Golf: Aussie Marc Leishman has taken on the par 5 15th, and won – managing an eagle to move within one shot of the lead.
“I played with (Adam Scott) Scotty that day when he won and I saw first-hand what it takes to win around here.
“You have to grab the bull by the horns because it’s not going to come to you; you have to go out and win it.”
In truth, the tournament is wide open with some classy players within striking distance.
One of those is Rory McIlroy who is chasing a Masters win to complete his clean sweep of the majors.
McIlroy calmed himself down after a seesaw start to his second round on a blustery day and carved out a one-under-par 71 to put him in contention at four under.
“Being up there around the lead going into the weekend, it’s a good position to be in,” he said.
