KSI vs Logan Paul rematch: Why YouTube fight could be CANCELLED

YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul went head-to-head in the boxing ring last night in front of a packed out crowd at the Manchester Arena.

Millions tuned in online to see a tightly-contested bout between the two rivals that resulted in a majority draw.

One ringside judge had KSI ahead by one point but the other two scored it even with the pair now set to go again early next year.

That lead to Briton KSI, who boasts 19.4 million subscribers and US star Paul, who has 18.2 million, call for a rematch after the final bell.

After the six-round fight, both thought they had done enough to win before the judges’ scorecards were revealed.

KSI said: “I think there’s only one thing to do. I think we have to have a rematch. Let’s do it. That was fun.

“I can’t wait to see your bloody face all over the internet.”

Paul added: “I think it’s what the people want. Let’s give them a rematch.”

A date and venue are yet to be decided for their proposed rematch although reports suggest the bout will take place in February in Paul’s homeland, the USA.

However, fans of the social media stars may have to wait some time before official details are confirmed with the possibility of the rematch being cancelled still possible.

According to reports, as part of the two-fight contract both fighters signed, either YouTuber has the option to opt out of a rematch within 90 days of their August 25th bout.

In the event KSI opts out, he will forfeit 50 per cent of his net profits from ticket sales from the UK event.

Should Paul pull the plug on another scrap, KSI will keep 100 per cent of the UK net profits from ticket sales.
