Fabregas marked his 300th Premier League appearance with a goal in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over the Swans on Saturday.
Despite being regularly left out of Antonio Conte’s starting XI this term, the Spanish midfielder has excelled in the short bursts he has played.
However, after being given a full 90 minutes, the 29-year-old came up trumps for Conte.
And former Tottenham star-turned-pundit Redknapp thinks Fabregas’ display was akin to that of Frank Lampard when he was at his peak.
“I am so impressed with Cesc [Fabregas’s] attitude,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
“When you are up against a stubborn side like Swansea, you need to keep the ball and be patient. Fabregas is the man to do that.
“He has never been blessed with pace but there are very few players who have his eye for a pass. I love how he arrives late in the box, too — on Saturday at Stamford Bridge it was like watching Frank Lampard in his pomp.”
Redknapp also thinks Fabregas is under-rated, adding: “Fabregas does not always get the credit he deserves but in terms of technical ability, he should be regarded as one of the Premier League’s greatest midfielders.”
Chelsea are 10 points clear of nearest challengers Tottenham.
