The Eagles have taken the lead against injury-plagued West Ham. Andros Townsend drives down the right-hand side and stands a lovely cross up in the box for Christian Benteke to head in from eight yards.
WEST HAM 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
23: We’ve got a contender for last game on Match of the Day already. It’s a real scrap at the London Stadium. The Eagles have a free-kick in a decent position after Zaha was hacked down but Adrian punches it away.
SWANSEA 0-0 ARSENAL
20: Arsenal still haven’t arrived tonight, I wonder if they’re distracted by transfer deadline day? Clucas is in on goal but Elneny slides in to steal it off his toes.

WEST HAM 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

SWANSEA 0-0 ARSENAL
5: The hosts have started brightly. Clearly their win over Liverpool has done their confidence some good. Not seen much from Arsenal yet.
WE’RE UNDERWAY
19:45: Swansea vs Arsenal and West Ham vs Crystal Palace are now underway folks. Let the mayhem begin!
STEVIE KNOWS…
19:43: Steven Gerrard, who’s on BT Sports this evening, thinks Jurgen Klopp dropped Virgil van Dijk to the bench for tonight’s trip to Huddersfield because he wants to avoid him picking up a serious injury.
“Well he is fit,” Gerrard said.
“The manager said it’s rotation. You can understand it, he’s had a lot of time out injured, he’s come to a new club, he’s still settling in.
“He probably doesn’t want to risk him for three games in a week in case he does get a big injury and is out for a big chunk of the season.”

ALMOST UNDERWAY
19:40: Just five minutes before the first two Premier League games are underway folks. Huddersfield vs Liverpool starts at 8pm. I will now be accepting predictions. Three away wins, right?
TWITTER ROUND-UP
Tom: The Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer is currently held up whilst he learns to play ‘we hate Tottenham’ on piano…
Daniel: The amount of times that I’ve searched up Aubameyang transfer news could be considered nothing short of insanely unhealthy, I really hope this deal goes through!
Remi: We attracted one of the best CF’s in the world – Aubameyang, without Champions League football this season or the assurance of qualification next season, without the oil money and without an unreasonable and hefty wage. Thats a huge statement!
DONNARUMMA TO LIVERPOOL…
19:30: Now here’s one to excite Liverpool supporters.
Jurgen Klopp’s side should look to sign AC Milan teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma to solve their goalkeeping problems, according to ESPN FC pundit and former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Nice plan, Shaka. I think they should sign Lionel Messi…
“Realistically, they should go after Donnarumma. I don’t think Liverpool have the right goalkeeper on their books right now,” Hislop said.
“As much as they chop and they change, until they go after a talent like Donnarumma, I think they’re going to continue having these issues.”
I BLAME TELEVISION…
19:25: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed television demands meant the first half of their 3-2 FA Cup fourth round defeat to West Brom was cut short.
Match official Craig Pawson added on just four minutes despite there being three major incidents requiring consultation with the video assistant referee – including a three minute 54 second delay in the awarding of a penalty – as well as two injuries and subsequent substitutions.
“What I heard was that the actual extra time in the first half should have been 10 minutes,” said Klopp.
“It was only four minutes. I heard that television said it’s not longer than four minutes. Of course that’s not possible: you cannot cut match time because there is something else to broadcast.
“I don’t know what was afterwards, maybe the news or something. It was 10 minutes and so you need to play 10 minutes longer. You cannot say it’s now a little bit too long.”
Klopp has also blamed a dry pitch, the wind and and a spout of illnesses for past defeats…

DO CHELSEA HOLD THE KEY?
19:20: Arsenal’s transfer dreams might just rest in Chelsea’s hands. That’s never a good thing.
So we know that Dortmund will only sanction Aubameyang’s departure if they sign a replacement.
And that man is Michy Batshuayi.
BBC reporter David Ornstein, who boasts some of the most hilarious memes on the internet, is firmly in the loop.
He claims that everything was sorted for Batshuayi to join Dortmund with Olivier Giroud heading to Chelsea for £20m.
A nice little merry-go-round, right? Wrong.
It appears that Chelsea are trying to lower Giroud’s asking price at the last second, which has led to Arsenal threatening to loan him to Dortmund instead.
Not sure what Giroud thinks about all this, but will obviously need to agree terms so the deals can get done.
I’m exhausted. Talk amongst yourselves while I have a glass of water.

Saquib: Virgil van Dijk on the bench?! Does he need time to adapt to the Premier League? No!
Al: Can’t understand why Van Dijk isn’t playing. We need to build a partnership! How is Jurgen Klopp a Premier League manager?! Absolute fraud.
Gavin: Van Dijk apparently not injured. Just rested. £75million for someone who can’t play two games in four days…
AUBBBBAAAAAAA
19:10: Aaaand back to the transfer news.
It looks like Arsenal’s move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to go down to the wire as the Gunners wait on Borussia Dortmund landing a replacement before allowing the striker to leave.
A deal has been agreed in principle between the two clubs – subject to Dortmund bringing in their own forward with Aubameyang’s medical scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Arsenal have until 11pm tomorrow to get the transfer over the line and it could be touch and go given all of the factors and logistics at play.

TEAM NEWS KLAXON
18:44: Time for some line-ups? Alright then…
WHAT’S ON?
18:40: Let’s step away from the transfer window for a second (not literally) to concentrate on tonight’s matches.
HUDDERSFIELD vs LIVERPOOL
The Terriers will bid to halt a six-game winless run in the top flight to ease their relegation fears, while Jurgen Klopp’s men head to West Yorkshire on the back of two-straight defeats.
SWANSEA vs ARSENAL
The Gunners head to bottom side Swansea looking to build on their impressive wins over Crystal Palace and Chelsea last week.
WEST HAM vs CRYSTAL PALACE
David Moyes’ side are dealing with a lengthy list of absentees that include Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini for tonight’s six-pointer.
TRANSFER FRENZY
18:35: Usually ‘transfer frenzy’ would be considered too sensational for a headline, but things are getting crazy out there folks. Stay safe.
I’ll try to summarise the main stories in a brief sentence.
Here it goes… Olivier Giroud is on his way to Chelsea; Riyad Mahrez is trying to force his way to Manchester City by handing in a transfer request; Aubameyang will have his Arsenal medical tomorrow morning; Lucas Moura to Tottenham and Napoli are showing interest in Everton’s Davy Klaassen.
I think the internet might just break on transfer deadline day.

Did you forget that there was football on tonight?

Anyway, I’ll be covering all the breaking transfer stories and keeping you updated with the goals from around the grounds.
