From the amusing to the downright strange, there are many images that have drawn attention for all the wrong reasons.
One photo captured by the Street View camera had a creepy creature hiding within it.
The image was taken on the streets of Nancy in northeastern France.
On one of the balconies of an apartment block stood a bicycle next to an open blue door.
But there was something else on the landing that captivated viewers.
A tall, brown figure resembling an alien creature stood next to the bike, looking directly at the camera.
The creature had large piercing eyes and what appeared to be long hair.
The image showed two small hut lodgings flanked by the curving edge of dense forest.
But in the centre of the photograph was a field filled with some very strange visitors.
At first glance it appeared there were people congregated in the space, but zooming in revealed the real occupants.
The field was filled with lines and lines of scarecrows.
